The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin is a very serious wine at this level. It boasts incredible finesse and sheer energy in a polished, pure expression of Gevrey. Ripe red berries, minerals and licorice are some of the notes that inform the wiry, intense finish.
It possesses the aromatics of the Pertuisots married to the darker expression of fruit found in the Bressandes. Polished, refined tannins frame the finish in a striking wine that captures all of the best qualities of the domaine.
The Beaune 1er Cru Grèves 2011 has a cohesive bouquet with crisp, pastille-like red fruit: redcurrant, crushed strawberry and a touch of peppermint. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins that lend it a structured, masculine personality.
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Echezeaux opens with an exuberant bouquet of roses, berries and spices. It shows gorgeous depth and finesse in a weightless, elegant style. The round, textured finish is gorgeous.
